The Atlanta Braves are in first place of the NL East for the first time since 2014 and look to continue to be a force as the season continues. Youngsters like Ozzie Albies and Ronald Acuna Jr. lead the charge for veterans Freddie Freeman and Nick Markakis to drive them in. The bullpen has been the only low light of the season so far but they have been improving since the Chicago debacle. Expect the Braves to be contenders this season, and the next, and the next, and the next one after that.

The Atlanta Falcons lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, and fans of the team were left with their jaws on the floor of how the Eagles whipped up on the Vikings last night in the NFC Championship. We could only imagine what the Falcons could've done to them if they had the chance to play in the game to send them to their second straight Super Bowl, trying to get the 28-3 images out of their head. They would've had the opportunity to in this years Super Bowl if they had won out due to the Patriots staging ANOTHER fourth quarter comeback against the Jaguars in the AFC Championship.

The Atlanta Hawks had low hopes coming into the 2017-18 season, and they aren't moving away from that. There 2-12 start is the worst record through the first 14 games of a season in Hawks history. It seems like the tank job is real and the Hawks will hope to build their roster with high picks in the coming NBA Drafts.
Quarterback Matt Ryan arguably played his best game of the season this past Sunday as the Falcons beat the New York Jets 25-20 in a wet, rainy game. Out off Ryan's 11 incompletions, six of them were from dropped passes due to the rainy conditions. The Falcons start up divisional play this Sunday as they travel down to North Carolina to play the Panthers.
The Yellow Jackets from Georgia Tech fell just short of making to the AP top 25 rankings and wants to show everyone they belong against the Miami Hurricanes this Saturday. Since Miami just hired ex-UGA head coach Mark Richt, they sure know what they are getting into since he faced Georgia Tech for over 15 years straight. In last years game, turnovers killed Tech as they fumbled on 3 straight possessions, allowing the Hurricanes to recover in the red zone and easily score. This will definitely be a hard fought game and if Georgia Tech wants to win this, they must take care of the football and not allow costly turnovers. Expect the Yellow Jackets to pull through in a close 34-30 victory.
Atlanta United has been on a tear ever since they moved into their new multibillion dollar Mercedes-Benz Stadium. They opened up their new home on September 10th against FC Dallas and smashed them three to nothing and then went out and absolutely manhandled the New England Revolution seven to nothing, but that game deserves an asterisk behind it. New England was playing with nine men on the field for most of the game which explains the huge difference in goals scored. The only game where ATL United did not win in Mercedes-Benz Stadium came against Orlando in a three to three draw, with Josef Martinez scoring a hat-trick. Los Angeles was next on the hit list and got hit by a score of 4-0. This is a great time for the squad to get hot because there are only a few games left in the season with the postseason slowly creeping up on them.
